This being the time set calling for Informal Bids on automobiles ( Rental Contract) for Police Department use, the following bids were received:- - Arland Chevrolet Co. - E. H. Thresh Co. - Stanley Cole After review and study by the Council the bids were referred to the Commissioner of Supplies for study and report on motion of Wm. O.Hall, seconded by Kline Williams. Communications: Communication from San Luis Obispo Fire Dept. requesting permission to hold a dance at the Recreation Center, Feb. 17, 1951.was granted on motion of Kline Williams, seconded by Timothy I. O'Reilly. Communication from Dr. T. A. Rose Re: condition of property, at 742 Pacific St. was referred to the City Attorney. Communication from Mrs and Mrs. H.R. Crissey, 2609 Johnson Ave. asking permission to connect to city sewer line was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works, on motion of Kline Williams, seconded by D.M. Carpenter. Peterson-submitting offer to maintain city radio equipment on an annual. fee of $900 per year, payable $75.00 per month was approved and accepted by the Council on motion df D. M. Carpenter, seconded by Frank V. Woods. Communication from Andrew and Ruth Holloway, 1781 - Johnson Ave. requesting the City to install proper storm drain at Johnson and Lizzie Street was ordered received and filed on motion of Wm. O.Hall, seconded by D. M. Carpenter. Communication from Orrick, Dahlquist, Neff & Herrington, giving final opinion on Water Filtration Plant -Bnnds of 1950 was ordered received andfiled. Milo Tappa was appointed Assistant Foreman in the Public Works Dept. at a salary of :315.00 per month by common consent of the Council: The following contract payments were approved and ordered paid on motion of Wm. 0. Hall, seconded by D. M. Carpenter: Maino Construction Co., Payment #2 in the amt. of $9301.10 - Filtration Plant contract Madonna Construction Co., " '.1 " It IT IT 5090.49 - Murray Ave. Bridge Contract Phil Porter - Price Thompson was appointed Engineering Draftsman in the Public Works Dept. at a salary of $325.00 per month on motion of Wm.0.Hall, seconded by Timothy I. O'Reilly. On motion of Wm.O.Hall, seconded by D. M.Carpenter,the City Clerk was instructed to call for bids on the following: 2550 ft. - 4" cast iron pipe 6800 n - 6+1 rr IT 3350 " - 10" TM It Rids to be opened at meeting of Feb. 19, 1951 - 7:30 P.M. Commissioner of Public Works was authorized to prepare'specifications on resurfacing Santa Barbara Ave: for contract bids, contingent on States approval. Communication from Securitv Title Insurance Co., together with Deeds for Street, ( Sierra Way ) was referred to the City Attorney for proper Resolution, on motion of 9dm. 0.
