Present: P..M.Carpenter, Paul W.Davis, Fred Lucksinger, Timothy I. O'Reilly Absent: Frank V. Woods The minutes of the meetings of May 7th and May 15th were approved. Communication from S.L:O..:City Schools Re: opening and extending section of Johnson Ave. through school grounds was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works„ on motion of Fred Lucksinter, seconded by Paul W. Davis. Copy of Board of Supervisors Resolution, deeding certain property along Sierra T^.!av to the Cite of'San Luis Obispo for city street was ordered received and filed. Applir.ati.ons filed by Fd Fields, 892 Grove St. for city licenses for Music Vendin? Machines and Mechanical Amusement Devices was - referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report on motion of D.M.Carpenter, seconded by Fred Lucksinper. Merchandising Bond of Carl G. Park, inthe amount of $200 with the U.S.Fidelity anr� Guaranty Co. as surety was received and on motion of Paul W.Davis, seconded by Fred Lucksinaer, the surety was accepted, bond approved and license ordered issued, pendng the annroval of the Building Inspector.. The request for license covers the sale of Mdse - Building S,.ipnliPs, at101 Hi Quera St., dba t' S.L.O. Supply Co." Application of Kenneth Beck, 1352 Higur-ra St. for permit to build a 7 ft. fence was presented to the Council and on_ motion of Paul W.Davis, seconded by D. M. Carpenter, the application was approved and the Building Inspector instructed to issue permit. The following applications for contractors licenses were received and on motion of Paul TAT.- Davis, seconded by D. M. Carpenter, the bonds were approved, sureties accepted and registration .granted:, R. H. Winslow & Son - Pismo Beach, Class "Et' Painting Contractor Underground Construction Co. - Oakland, Calif.. Class "F" General Engineering The Council authorized refund on building permit No. 464 -50 dated November 14, 1950 in the amount of $21.00 to Mrs. A. F. Chase, 744 Center St., as the work was never started. . The City Auditor's Report for 1950 -51 fiscal year showing operations of the various funds during the period July 1, 1950 thru March 31, 1951 was referred to the Council for study. Old Business Communication from Park, Playground and Recreation Commission Re: disposal of Victoria Street playlot T•ras again presented to the Council and on motion of D. M. Carpenter, seconded by Fred Lucksinger, it was moved that the recommendation ( that it b e sold) of the Commission be accepted. Commissioner Paul Davis voting "No". At the request of Mayor O'Reilly and by common consent of the Council, the followin7 matters were referred to the City Attorney, with instructions to take legal action unless they comply to the City Ordinance . 1 - Rhodes Hotel, 664 Monterey St. ( Room House) ( Faint Storage ) 2 - J & J Texaco Service Station, 636 Higuera St., ( Electrical wiring ) 3 - Aonlication for transfer of license of Walker's Used Furn.
