This being the time set as per advertised ('Notice for Public Auction of lease of Pasture Land. The Bid submitted by Bailey Bridge Co. for three year lease at $14C.00 per annum was accepted by the Council and the City Attorney instructed to draft proper Aa_.reement. Petition filed by 'Woodford E. Bowls et all agreeing to put in.curbs and gutters along Haves Street at their own expense if the City would pave Haves St.was presented tr) the Council. After discussion, the Council agreed to name a Citizens Advisory Committee to make recommendations on a City -wide policy for Street Improvement work. The petition taken under submission until the next meeting. Petition of J.A. Bardin in the matter of application for permission to increase (bus fares was presented to the Council and on motion of Paul [,% Davis, seconded by Fred (Lucksinger, it was recommended that the City be represented at the Hearing and Commissioner Davis was ay)pointed to represent the City. Communication from the City of Stockton asking for contributions from cities on a population basis protesting the racific Gas and Electric Co. application for increased rates was ordered received and filed on rao;.ion of D.:1R.Caroenter, seconded by Timothy I. Bill submtted by Trojan Construction Co. in the amount of $ 23,444.27 covering Iwater system in the McMillan Manor Tract was referred to the City Attorney and the City lEn,gineer for review and report by common consent of the Council. Communication from C.A, Maino Re: Council's rejection on sign permit was ordered received andfi.led on motion of Frank Woods, seconded by Paul W.Davis. Communicationfrom Division of Highways requesting cancellation of taxes on portion lof property purchased from G.W.Baker was presented to the Council and on motion of D.M. IC.arpenter, seconded by Paul 11.Davis the taxes were ordered cancelled.
