The City Council met.-in adjourned session; Mayor Timothy I. O'Reilly presiding.
Present: D.M.Carpenter, Fred Lucksinger, Timothy I. O'Reilly, Frank V. Woods
Absent: Paul W.Davis
The Bid submitted by Ed Atkinson, Farmers Ins. Group, on the Comprehensive
General Public Liability Ins. and Auto Fleet Insurance for the City of San Luis Obispo,
listed as:
Item No. 1 - Amt. $ 4849.24 Comprehensive Liability Ins.
Item No. 2 - " 2493.69 Auto Fleet
Renewal Fee, 25.00
Total . . . 7367.93
was awarded to the Farmers Insurance Group on motion of Fred Lucksinger, seconded by
Timothy I. O'Reilly.
Re: Award of Bid for Gasoline, Oil and Lub. requirements for the City of San Luis
Obispo for the year 1953 was awarded to Norwalk Co., ( J:B.Dewar, Distributor) on motion
of Fred Lucksinger, seconded by Frank V. Woods.
There being no further business to come before the Council, at this time, the
meeting adjourned on motion of Fred Lucksinger, seconded by crank V. Woods.

SPECIAL CALLED MEETING
The City Councilmet in Special Session - Mayor Timothy I. O'Reilly presiding.
Present: D.M.Carpenter, Paul W.Davis, Fred Lucksinger, Timothy I. O'Reilly
Absent: Frank V.Woods
The City Council met in special session for the purpose of considering the
appointment of a City Clerk to fill the vacancy in the office of the City Clerk.
Mayor Timothy I.O'Reilly placed the name of Jean Henri Fitzpatrick in nomination
and on motion of Paul W.Davis, seconded by Fred Lucksinger, it was ordered that Jean
Henri Fitzpatrick be appointed to fill the unexpired term of J.E.Brown, City Clerk
and Ex- officio Assessor at a salary of $419.00 per month ( 2nd step). Motion carried
upon the following roll call vote:

Noes: None
Absent: Frank V.Woods
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned, on motion of Paul W.Davis,
