by Fred Lucksinger.
The following applications for contractor's licenses.were received and on motion
of D.M.Carpenter, seconded by Timothy I. O'Reilly, the bonds were approved, sureties
accepted and registration granted:
R:T.Stockton - Class "B" General Contractor
Michel & Pfeffer Iron Works - Class "D" - Fabrication and Erection
The following applications for City Licenses were received and licenses were
granted by common consent of the Council:
Walter Petersen - Cigarette Machine - 888 Monterey St.
Camden Hathway - 2 Mechanical Amusement Devices - ( Mission Cafe )
On motion of D.M.Carpenter, seconded by Timothy I.O'Reilly, that all Claw type
machines licenses be cancelled and a pro rata of city licenses be returned to the owner of '
said machines.
On motion of D.M.Carpenter, seconded by Fred Lucksinger, the employment of
Dorothy Collomb as Jr. typist clerk at the City Library was approved, as of April 1st
at $182.00 per month.
On motion of D.M.Carpenter, seconded by Timothy I.�'Reilly, the Council gave
authority to write to Judge Jackson for permission to have Willeford & Wiltshire, C.P.A.
audit Judge Jackson's books each quarter.
Request of Andres Herrera that the City of San Luis Obispo sell to him that portion
of Olive Street beyond the south boundary of Osos St. to the Creek. On motion of Timothy
I. O'Reilly, seconded by Fred Lucksinger, the City Clerk was instructed to check this
and report back to the Councilat the next regular meeting.
Resolution No. 1205 (New Series) - A Resolution authorizing the City Council
to enter into Utilities Agreement No. 2302 with the State of California was passed and
adopted on motion of D.M.Curpenter, seconded by Paul W.Davis upon the following roll
call vote:

Resolution No. 1206 (New Series) - A Resolution authorizing the City Council to
enter into Utilities Agreement No. 2309 with the State of California was passed and adopted

Report by City Engineer, G.H.Hamlin, Re: damage to bridge on Nipomo Street at the
outh end of Monterey St. due to truck going into creek; Mr.Hamlin also reported as to
ossible damage tobridge when trailer part of truck is removed at a later date. City
neer was instructed to require bond prior to moving trailer sufficient to cover any
ge to city. 1
On motion of Fred Lucksinger, seconded by Paul W.Davis', the meeting adjourned to
o'clock A.M., Wednesday, April 8, 1953 upon the following roll call vote:

The City Council met in adjourned session; Mayor Timothy I. O'Reilly presiding.
Present: D.M.Carpenter, Paul W.Davis, Timothy I. O'Reilly
Absent: Fred Lucksinger
In accordance with the provisions of the City Charter regulations, the Council
acting as a canvassing board, now proceeded to canvass the returns of the General
Municipal Election, and also the official canvass of the Absentee ballots, held on
Monday, April 6, 1953•
The following is a. :tabulation of results of the official canvass of votes,
including the official canvass of absentee ballots. The number of votes cast at such
election being 3695 within the City of San Luis Obispo and 170 in the Consolidated
Precincts outside the City, voting on School Directors only..:
