iI °Iemorandum fromMr. Miller regarding a complaint from Mrs. Dennis who lives near the
Dallidet residence, which is being taken care of by the Historical Society, reported the
property was over grown with weeds and-was considered.a.fire hazard in the neighborhood,
in fact, there has been one fire.thisseason on the property. Mr. Rliller reported that the
had contacted i-ir. Miles Fitzgerald who represents the Historical Society, and he reported
he would get it cleaned up with the help of the sheriff's office,using prison labor.
To date nothing has been accomplished. 14r. Miller recommended that this lot be posted
for weed abatement, and that if the owner does not clean up his premises, the city will
do so. By common consent of the Council, it was moved to post the lot for weed abatement.
Mr. Homer Hamlin, City Engineer, was instructed by the Council to prepare layout of the
old Mission Garage property, showing the proposal for off - street parking, using present area.
Mr. Francis Mueller appeared before the Council and reported to them regarding the Leece-
Neville alternator systems for city police cars. Mr. Mueller explai #ed the benefits of
the various types and sizes of alternators. The Mayor thanked Mr. Mueller for coming
up and explaining these points with the Council.
On motion of Nels Beck, seconded by Warren G.Edwards, Mr. Jones was requested to inves-
tigate the type and -size of alternator and was given power to act in procuring proper
generator for city police cars.
Vir. Houser reported to the Council on the progress being made of the title search and property
description in the Maggie Brown property area for city parking lot. He reported on the
excellent cooperatinn he received from the Title Insurance and Trust Co. thru Mr. Crawford,
Mgr. who is doing all the title work and title search at no cost to the city.
The Mayor instructed the City Clerk to v:-ite a letter to the Title Ins. and Trust Co.
thanking them for their cooperation and their work on the parking lot.
On motion of Nels Beck, seconded by Warren G.Edwards, the request of Mr. Miller, City
Administrative Officer, for permission to attend a one day meeting of City Managers
in Pasadena on July 8, 1955 was approved.
On motion of Warren G.Edwards, seconded by Nels Beck, the meeting adjourned to 5 P.M.
Monday July 11th- 1955 upon the following vote:

The City Council met in adjourned session; Vice President of the Council,
Kenneth ti,,.Jones, presiding.
Present: hels Beck, Lowell E.Christie,Warren G.Edwerds, Kenneth W. Jones,
Absent: Mayor Fred H.Lucksinger
The City Clerk reported on the bids received for furnishing 3 -3/4 ton pickup trucks --
one for the Park Dept. and two for the Water Dept; the following bids were received:
It was the recommendation of 1`'r. Richard !Miller, Administrative Officer, that the bid of
s. H. Thresh, Inc. for all three trucks be accepted.
On motion of Nels Beck, seconded by Lowell E.Christie, it was moved that the bid of
E.H.Thresh Inc. for � 1397.00 for pickup truck for the Park Dept. be accepted. Motion
carried.
On motion of " els Beck, seconded by Lowell E.Christie, it was moved that the bid of
".H.Thresh, Inc. for two pickup trucks for the uiaterDept. be accepted. Motion carried.
