HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/09/1956Mr. Miller, City Administrative Officer, reported.to the Council relative to temporary ar- rangements he has made in employing an acting Director of Public Works during the examination process to replace Mr. Hamlin who resigned. Mr. Richard D. Miller reported that he arranged with Mr. George Pearson to act as Director of Public Works for three months at One Hundred Pollars ($100.00) per week, plus expenses, and Mr. Pearson to be present in the Engineer's Office, in the City Hall, on Mondays and Tuesdays of each week, effective 16 April 1956• On motion of Lowell E. Christie, seconded by Nels.Beck, the recommendation of the Administra- tive Officer was adopted and Mr. Pearson was appointed temporary Director of Public Works. Comm. from Mount Carmel Lutheran Church requesting abandonment of certain portions of Park Avenue was referred to.the Planning.Commission for their consideration.on motion of. — Nels Beck, seconded by Lowell E.
