1. The City Council discussed informally the provisions of the recently adopt-
ed Ordinance No. 303, an ordinance requiring right -of -way dedication and
improvement on major streets that will require widening, as related to street
widening of multiple and commercial properties in the City.
After general discussion, Mayor Whelchel appointed Councilman Miller and
Gallagher. to a Council committee to study the existing street widening policy
as it applies to multiple dwellings and commercial districts, and report
theif recommendations to the City Council.
2. At this time the City Council began their study of the 1965 -66 City Budget,
starting with Page 1 and ending with page 19.
On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Blake, the meeting ad-
journed at 2:30 P. M. to Tuesday, May 25, 1965 at 7:30 P. M..in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall, for a joint study session with the Planning
Commission. Motion carried. 1
