The Committee has had several requests to study the intersection of Mission Street and Broad Street with a suggestion that a stop sign be installed on Mission stopping that traffic. After studying this intersection, the Traffic Committee concurs Fiy� and recommends to the City Council that it authorize such a stop installation. Resolution No. 2$0 (1957 Series) A Resolution Authorizing the Erection of a Stop Sign on Mission Street at its Intersection with Broad Street, was passed and adopted on motion of Richard G. Sleight, seconded by Kenneth W. Jones,by the following roll call vote: AYES: Nels Beck, Kenneth W. Jones, Richard G. Sleight, J. Barry Smith, Fred H. Lucksinger � NOES: None ABSENT: None 57 -8 -5T. The city recently cooperated with the County in reconstructing the curb and gutter in front of the new county purchasing office on Monterey Street across from the Fremont Theatre. One benefit which has resulted is the addition of a car space, and it is recommended that a parking meter be installed at that location. The recommendation of the Traffic Committee was adopted on motion of Nels Beck, seconded by Kenneth W. Jones. Request by the Consolidated Cab Company for an increase in the rate structure presented by the owner was referred to a Council Committee consisting of Nels Beck and Kenneth W. X Jones, to meet with Mr. Robasciotti and analyse the rate increases requested. Comm. from the City of Turlock regarding Central California's Sunday School Fair Week was ordered received and filed on motion of Nels Beck, seconded by Kenneth W. Jones. � Report of the City Planning Commission regarding the street re- naming recommendation was ordered held over for Council study session. �. The matter of an agreement between Gallagher and Bowden and the City of San Luis Obispo for extension of Lizzie Street was ordered held over for Council study session. Request of California State Polytechnic College for a road tie -in with Hathway Street was ordered held over for Council study session. On motion of J. Barry Smith, seconded by Kenneth IV.
