Ken Schwartz, Planning Commission Chairman, stated he voted against the
recommended change to C -1 due to•the fact that it will allow not only the
requested restaurant but would also alloy all C -1 uses and'did.•not believe
that this was good planning for the City or for this area.
On motion of Mayor Davidson, seconded by Councilman Miller, the following
ordinance was introduced. An ordinance rezoning that corner of Santa Rosa
and Walnut Street from R -4 to C -1.
Councilman Whelchel questioned the legality of taking action at this adjourned
meeting as the public had not been notified that such rezoning was being °
considered by the Council.
Councilman Miller stated that with the Mayor`s permission, he would withdraw
his second and have the consideration at the next regular meeting when all
Council members would be present.
Mayor Davidson agreed and the matter of the rezoning was referred to the next
regular meeting.
On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Mayor Davidson, the meeting
adjourned.
