City Staff
Present: P. Chapman, Planning & Building Director; J. H, Fitzpatrick,
City Clerk; W. M. Houser, City Attorney; R. D. Miller, Administrative
Officer.
1. The City Council and Planning Commission met in joint study session to discuss
proposed changes to be made by the Planning Commission to the City's General
Plan.
2. The following communication was received from Central California Communications
Corporation:
"Re: Requested amendment to Ordinance No.244
The requested amendment is not.to, in any way, permit a lessening of the
performance standards set forth in the original ordinance; but rather to
restate the section in terms used and accepted by the Rules Making Committee
of'the Feddral,Communications Commission.
The present terminology does not meet any definitive standards of said Committee
and, therefore, creates a potential problem in the interpretation of the existing
section."
On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Whelchel, the following
ordinance was introduced. Ordinance No. 288, an ordinance amending a portion
of Ordinance No. 244, which provided for the granting of a franchise for Cable
TV in the City of San Luis Obispo.
Introduced and passed to print on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Miss Margaret McNeil, R. L. Graves, Jr.,
Donald Q. Miller, Clell W. Whelchel
NOES: None
ABSENT: Clay P. Davidson
On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Graves, the meeting
adjourned.
