ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
July 22,'1968 - 4:30 P.M.
City_ Hall
Present: Emmons Blake, Frank Gallagher, Arthur F. Spring,
Clell W. Whelchel.
City Staff
Present: J. H. Fitzpatrick, City Clerk; H. Johnson, City Attorney;
R. D. Miller, Administrative Officer; E. R. Rodgers, Police
Chief; D. F. Romero, Public Works Director.
1. City Clerk presented the following bid summary on bids received for Six Month
Sidewalk, Curb, Gutter and Driveway Ramp Repairs:
W. G. Shelton $5,340.00
Gus Howie $5,923.00
Engineer's Estimate $5,000.00
D. F. Romero, City Engineer, recommended that the low bid of W. G. Shelton be accepted.
On motion of Councilman Blake, seconded by Councilman Gallagher, contract was awarded
to W. G. Shelton. Motion carried.
2. City Clerk reported on bids received for Chorro Street Sewer Line.
L. D. Van Over Construction Corp. $38,269.90
Engineer's Estimate $37,133.50
D. F..Romero,:City Engineer, recommended that the bid of L. D. Van Over Construction
Corporation be accepted.
On motion of Councilman Gallagher, seconded by Councilman Spring, the contract was
awarded to L. D. Van Over Construction Corporation.. Motion carried.
3. On motion of Councilman Gallagher, seconded by Councilman Spring, the meeting
adjourned.
