1. The City Council began their study of the preliminary 1970 -71 Budget for the
.City of San Luis Obispo.
R. D. Miller, Administrative Officer, reviewed for the Council the estimated fund
balances for the period ending June 30, 1970 and the estimated revenue for the
fiscal year 1970 -71. He also presented the highlights of the proposed 1970 -71
budget for Council consideration..
The City Council then began their study of.the budget detail starting with page
number 14 and ending with page lib, General Government,
On motion of Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman Miller, the meeting ad-
journed to 7:30 P.M., Tuesday, May 19, 1970 in the Conference Room of the City
Hall. Motion carried. _

10 The City Council continued their study of the Capital Improvement Plan and the
following priorities were established:
Item 44. (E-8B) Storm Drainage - Cerro Romauldo from Jeffrey to Patricia
Item 45. (E-90 Storm Drainage - Cuesta Drive from Felton Way to Highland Drive

Item 77. Excess capacity in sewer and water lines in Edna Valley including
connection of Bullock Lane sewer to Edna Road system, abandonment of
lift station, connection of Edna Road sewer to sewage plant plus water
tankage as needed.
Item 78. And /or excess capacity in sewer and water lines in Los Osos Valley
plus water tankage as needed.
Item 79. (E -54) Widen Orcutt Road from Broad to Johnson.
Item 809 (E-60) Refine plans, start reserve fund and commence property ac-
quisitions for Orcutt Road railroad grade separation.
Item 81. (M -10) Pedestrian overcrossing at Osos Street and railroad.
Item 82. (E -49) Street extension - Bishop Street, from Johnson Avenue to-
Southwood extension.
Item 839 (E -32) Street extension- Extend Southwood through Sinsheimer recrea-
tional area to Bishop extension and Osos extension.
Item 84. (R -16) Develop Senior Citizens Center at Sinsheimer recreation area.
Item 85. (R -15) Trail system for pedestrian,-equestrian, bilge.
Item 86. (E-37) Street extension - Extend Flora to Southwood.
Item 87. (E -51) Ftreet widening - Johnson Avenue from the underpass to
Monterey Street.
Item 88. (E-41) Street widening - both sides of South Higuera from Madonna
— Road to Prado Road.
Item 89. (E-45) Street extension - Extend Luneta from Verde to Palomar.
Item 90. (P -3) Acquisition of additional property adjacent to police facility
—for parking purposes.
Item 919 (E-52) Widen Chorro Street or Broad Street from Foothill Boulevard
to town center.
Item 92. (E -ail) Grade separation at South Street or Woodbridge Avenue at
the railroad.
Item 93. (E-56) Storm drainage - replace Elks Lane Bridge.
Item 94. (E -55) Storm drainage - Toro at Islay.
Item 95. (R -18) Municipal golf course (18 hole) - Reservoir Canyon area.
Item 960 (M -15) Street extension connecting Los Osos Road and Buckley.
Item 97. (W -3) Construct filtration plant to treat surface water from local
creeks and springs.
Item 98. (R -14) Development bf regional facilities at Lopez Canyon site.
Item 99. (M) Foothill Boulevard railroad grade separation.
Item 1000 (P -4) Purchase of helicopter, possibly in cooperation with County
and other law enforcement agencies.
Item 101. (R -17) Sports stadium for greater San Luis Obispo area.
Item 102. (M) Feather River inter -tie.
Item 103. (M-6) Further development of airport.
