. Capital ..Improvement.Program.which_was xeferred.to.- Study :Session on motion of
Councilman Gurnee,.seconded by..Councilman.Graham.. Motion carried.
C -14 Memorandum _.from_John.- Kellerman,..Chief Building Inspector.-stating
..that.the structure.at.13667E11a Street has-been demolished and carried away
but.that foundations and o.ther.concrete.rubble still remain on the lot. He
' recommended_. that. -the City - Council.. authorize. -the deposit. on. file -with the
.City to.hire a contractor to clear and level..the.:lot- in.accordance..with the
ordinance.
On motion.of. Councilman -. Gurnee,_ seconded_ by--. Councilman.Graham,..the.request
was approved and that the funds on hand..be authorized:..to clear.the lot.
C -15 Claim.against the City_by.Norma.Friedman in wrongful.death suit
was denied.and..referred to. the. insurance carrier .on_.motion_of_Councilman
Gurnee, seconded:by.Councilman Graham.
C -16 Claim against the City.by.John._F..Ready for expenses incurred
because of.meter reader error was- .denied..on motion.of.Councilman Gurnee,
seconded by.Councilman Graham, and was -. referred ...to_.the.insurance...carrier.
C -17 R.D... Miller, Administrative Officer, announced the following
.promotions and appointments to City employment:

B -1 The.City Council.considered_ the..bids.received_.for WASTE WATER
TREATMENT PLAN..CLARIFIER REPAIR MATERIALS.
Wayne. Peterson, City Engineer, recommends..the acceptance of-.the bid.by Dorr-
Oliver Incorporated: to.provide.materials`:to.repair the.clarifier at- the.sewage
plant.. Dorr- Oliver_is the only source.-for.-this material;..therefore, bids were
not.received from any other manufacturer. The bid is for $17,307, plus tax.
On..motion of- Councilman.Gurnee,.seconded...by - Councilman Petterson,.that the bid
of Dorr - Oliver. Incorporated be accepted_.:. Motion carried.
