MINUTES
ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIFORNIA
May 1, 1973 - 12:00 Noon
Conference Room, City Hall
Present: Councilmen John C. Brown, Myron Graham, T. Keith
Gurnee, and Mayor Kenneth E. Schwartz
Absent: Councilman Emmons Blake
City Staff
Present: J. H. Fitzpatrick, City Clerk; R. D. Miller,
Administrative Officer; A. J. Shaw, City Attorney
1. Mayor Schwartz asked if any of the members of the 71/72 - 72/73
Council wished to make any statements. If not, he would adjourn the
meeting so that the new '73 Council could take their places at the
Council table.
J. H. Fitzpatrick, City Clerk, administered the oath of office to each
of the newly elected Councilmen and the Mayor.

Gurnee, Jesse Norris, and ",Iayor Kenneth E. Schwartz
Absent: None
City Staff
Present: J. H. Fitzpatrick, City Clerk; R. D. Miller,
Administrative Officer; A. J. Shaw, City Attorney
2. Each of the newly elected members of the Council make a short
statement thanking the voters for their support and stating they were
ready to proceed with the work of the City. The hold over Councilmen
(Brown and Gurnee) also make short statements congratulating the recently
elected members and pledging their support for the good of the City.
3. At this time the City Council held an election for Vice -Mayor
by secret ballot. After two ballots, Councilman John C. Brown was
elected Vice - Mayor.
4. There being no further business the Mayor adjourned the meeting.
