HEARING ROOM, CITY HALL PRESENT: Councilmen Graham, Norris, Petterson and Mayor Schwartz ABSENT: Councilman Gurnee City Staff PRESENT: J.H. Fitzpatrick, City Clerk; R.D. Miller, Administrative Officer; Wayne Peterson, City Engineer; Bob Mote, Utilities Engineer Engineering Science Staff PRESENT: Frank Steiner, Lee Strickler and David MacDonald 1. The City Council met with representatives of Engineering - Sciences, consultants to the City of San Luis Obispo for the 1976 Water Supply Study. The consultants reviewed with the City Council their preliminary report on their study to date including the 1) scope of the study; 2) area water characteristics including land use and population projections; 3) water supply needs; 4) analysis of the filtration plant operation and suggestions for immediate improvement at nominal cost with some savings in chemical costs. 2. The City Council considered the proposal to construct a League Office Building in Sacramento instead of continuing to pay rent for office space. The Council reviewed the various alternatives presented and by common consent of the Council members presents the City of San Luis Obispo would support the three year pay off period without interest. 3. On motion of Councilman Petterson, seconded by Councilman Graham, the meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 25, 1976 to continue the public hearings on the General Plan Study.
