ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 26, 1977 - 12:15 P.M.

1. Dalessi Center Office Building Proposal
Rob Strong, Director of Community Development, reviewed with the City Council
the preliminary scope of work for preparation of an E.I.R. by the consultant
for development of the Dalessi Center at 999 Monterey Street. The scope of
work to include: 1) Circulation Impacts; 2) Aesthetic Impact; 3) Effects on
Municipal Services; 4)' Safety.Consideration; 5) Land Use and Economic Effects;
6) Growth Inducing Effects; and finally 7) a Study of Alternatives to the
Proposed Project.
It was by common consent of the City Council that the scope of the Environmental
Impact Report as amended be approved.
Rob Strong also asked the City Council on behalf of the Dalessi Center Board
1 of Directors that the City Council consider the possibility of a coordinated
design for the adjacent City -owned property, either for use of air space over
the parking lot or by private use of the ground level with public parking over
the first floor. He continued that the Dalessi Board of Directors had asked
that Council either appoint a Council or staff Subcommittee to meet with the
promoters of Dalessi Center for possible joint use of the public property.
With permission of the City Council, Mayor Schwartz appointed Councilmen Gurnee
and Petterson as a Council Subcommittee to explore various development alterna-
tives with the Dalessi Group.
2. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the
meeting adjourned at 1:50 p.m.

Officer; Rob Strong, Director of Community Development;
D.F. Romero, Director of Public Services; Wayne Peterson,
City Engineer; Paul Landell, Civil Engineer II
1. The City Council adjourned to a field inspection trip to review the
proposed development of .Tract No. 592 - Los Verdes Park, Phase III.
The City Council reconvened at the site of the proposed Tract 592 with the
following Councilmen present: Councilmen Graham, Gurnee, Norris, Petterson
and Mayor Schwartz.
Mayor Schwartz announced that the City-Council would make no decision on the
proposed tract or any other matter at this time. The purpose was to review
in the field the boundaries of the tract and what work.was planned in the
realignment of San Luis Creek.
The City Council then walked the length of San Luis Creek adjacent to the
Los Verdes Park Development, including the west side owned by the City.
1:45 p.m. Meeting adjourned.
