Mayor Cooper stated he was somewhat disappointed in that the County had
made most of their decisions without consulting and /or advising the City
and the Architectural Review Commission of their plans. He further stated
that in fact, this was the first presentation the County had made to the City.
Councilwoman Billig stated she was in full support of what the County had
accomplished and the manner in which they had handled everything. She hoped
however, that there would be continuous dialogue between the County and
City, including the ARC, when the expansion commenced.
Councilman Jorgensen had absolutely no complaints with the County's
presentation and found it to be a pleasant surprise to have everthing worked
out so well. He, too, felt it was very important, though, to have good
communications between the City and County during this building expansion.
Lee Walton, CAO, suggested that Henry Engen assign someone from the City
staff to work with the County during this building construction, and to
keep the ARC apprised of the building progress, activities, etc.
There being no further business to come before the City Council, Mayor
Cooper adjourned the meeting 1:PS 1p- . -m:'to Thursday, February 14, 1980
