II. REHABILITATION LOAN COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS (cont'd from June 16, 1981) 1
Consideration of recommendations by the Rehabilitation Loan Committee.
Henry Engen, Community Development Director,.stated that on May 29, 1981 the Loan
Committee met to talk about progress of the city's downtown housing rehabilita-
tion program. After hearing reports from the city and Housing Authority staff,
the committee recommended that the City Council:
• Amend the Loan Program guidelines to allow the immediate processing of
projects which involve 4 or less housing units.
• Direct the Planning Commission to complete their review of the hous-
ing conversion ordinance and establish a time certain for the comple-
tion of this review.
After brief discussion and on motion of Mayor Billig, seconded by Councilman
Settle, the following resolution was introduced: Resolution No. 4535 (1981 Series),
a resolution of the City of San Luis Obispo amending the program guideline's for
the Downtown Rehabilitation Loan Program - adopted November 1980; and that the
Planning Commission be directed to review the housing conversion ordinance and
come back with recommendation to Council within 30 days.
Passed and adopted on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Billig, Settle, Dovey, and Dunin
NOES: Councilmember Bond
ABSENT: None
There being no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting
was adjourned at 3:00 p.m. to Friday, June 19, 1981 at 12:10 p.m.
