E-1. Nomination-to State Coastal Commission
On motion of Councilman Settle, seconded by Councilwoman Dovey, to nominate Kurt
Kupper and Bill Wallace to the State Coastal Commission. Motion carried, all.ayes.
1. Planning Commission Appointments
After brief discussion, it was moved by Councilman Dunin, seconded by Council-
woman Dovey, to appoint the following to the Planning Commission:
William A. Howard - 2 yr. term to expire 3/30/83
Randal L. Bullock - 1 yr. term to expire 3/30/82
Sylvia K. Drucker - 1 yr. term to expire 3/30/82
Jerry M. Reiss - 2 yr. term to expire 3/30/83
Motion carried, all ayes.
2. Human Relations Commission Appointments
After brief discussion, it was moved by Councilman Dunin, seconded by Mayor Billig,
to appoint the following to the Human Relations Commission:
Mary Vasconcellos - 1 yr. term to expire 3/30/82
Terry Elfrink - 1 yr. term to expire 3/30/82
Gary Deno - 1 yr. term to expire 3/30/82
Linda Wenzl - 2 yr. term to expire 3/30/83
Daniel S. Sweeney - 2 yr. term to expire 3/30/83
Carolyne Hostetter - 2 yr. term to expire 3/30/83
Motion carried, all ayes.
3. Architectural Review Commission Appointments
After brief discussion, it was moved by Councilman Settle, seconded by Councilman
Dunin, to appoint the following to the Architectural Review Commission:
Donald J.
Kahn, Sr.
- 1 yr. term to expire 3/30/82
Thomas A.
Priest -
1 yr. term to expire 3/30/82
Thaine H.
Hahlbeck
- 2 yr. term to expire 3/30/83
Penelope
A. Rappa -
2 yr. term to expire 3/30/83
Motion carried, all ayes.
E -2. Citizens Advisory Committee Appointments
After brief discussion, it was moved by Councilman Settle, seconded by Council-
woman Dovey, to appoint the following to the Citizens Advisory Committee.

11:55 a.m. the.-..City Council adjourned to Closed Session to discuss litigation.
4:25 p.m. the City Council reconvened in Regular Session, Councilman Alan Bond
absent.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, Mayor Billig adjourned
the meeting at 4:25 p.m. to Thursday,Julv__2,_,1981 at 12:10 p.m. to Closed Session
to discuss Personnel Matter.

1. Councilwoman Dovey stated that the Subcommittee (Dovey /Billig /Chaney)
had interviewed eight applicants and were recommending the following to fill 1 yr
terms, the one year terms to allow for staggered expiration dates to avoid all
terms expiring at one time. This would be for this year only and terms to expire
on March 20, 1982:
1. Joanne Ruggles
2. Linnaea Phillips
