1. MAYOR'S WORK PROGRAM (File #112)
Council considered the Mayor's Work Program for 1985 -86 (continued from
5- 7 -85).
After brief discussion and on motion of Councilman Griffin, seconded by
Councilman Settle, to approve the Mayor's Work Program for 1985 -86 as
previously amended. Motion carried (4 -0, Councilman Dunin absent).
Councilman Griffin suggested that for any of those issues that Councilman
Dunin felt strongly about, they should be brought back during the budget
review session or when the individual projects come before the Council
(4 -0 -1).
Further, it was Council consensus that staff be directed to prepare a
synopsis of the Work Program for public review and include it in the
city's newsletter, Focus on the City (4 -0 -1).
12:25 p.m. Mayor Billie adjourned the meeting to closed session to discuss
the public acquisition and sale of properties as follows: 1) acquisition
of 870 Morro - -owned by the Copeland family and represented by Warren
Sinsheimer; 2) acquisition of 860 Pacific Street - -owned by Knight, Towle,
Sage & Johnson and; 3) the sale of 692 Marsh Street - -owned by Rob Rossi
and John Rosetti; 4) sale of 1330 Buchon Street - -owned by B. Jeong; and 5)
sale of 148 -182 Higuera Street - -owned by the Evans Family.
1:30 p.m. Councilman Griffin left the meeting.
2:15 p.m. City Council reconvened in open session, Councilmembers Dunin
and Griffin absent.
C O M M U N I C A T I O N S
C -1 Letter was received and filed from the Park and Recreation Commission
concerning relocation of the People's Kitchen from Mitchell Park. They
stated that should the People's Kitchen not be able to relocate,
preschool programming at Mitchell Park would be discontinued.
C -2 Letter from Gary Hoidgrafer received and filed. This reviewed his
plans to provide elderly housing at the Anderson Hotel Apartments.
There being no further business to come re the City Council, Mayor
Bi11ia adjourned the meeting at 2:15 P.
