COUNCIL HEARING ROOM, CITY HALL, 990 PALM STREET SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIFORNIA STUDY SESSION ROLL CALL Councilmembers Present: GlennaDeane Dovey, Robert Griffin, Mayor Billig, Vice -Mayor Allen K. Settle (arrived at 12:30 p.m.), Ron Dunin (arrived at 12:40 p.m.) Absent: None City Staff Present: Paul Lanspery, Administrative Officer; Roger Picquet, City Attorney; Pamela Voges, City Clerk; Dave Romero, Public Works Director; Mike Dolder, Public Safety Director; Geoff Grote, Assistant Administrative Officer; George Truppelli, Chief of Fire Services; Don Englert, Chief of Police Services; Roberta Goddard, Finance Director; Dave Ion, Systems Development Manager; Dave Elliott, Administrative Assistant 1. BUDGET - PUBLIC SAFETY (File #233) Council reviewed the Public Safety budgets for fiscal year 1985 -86, found on pages D -1 through D -17. Mike Dolder, Public Safety Director, gave an overview of the public safety budgets in general. 12:30 p.m. Vice -Mayor Settle arrived at the meeting. Don Englert, Chief of Police Services, then reviewed those sections pertaining to police activities. 12:40 p.m. Councilman Dunin arrived at the meeting. Council then went through each item reaching consensus on each page as noted in the budget document available in the City Clerk's Office. 2:05 p.m. Councilman Griffin left the meeting. 2:10 p.m. Mayor Billig declared a recess. 2:15 p.m. City Council reconvened, Councilman Griffin absent. George Truppelli, Chief of Fire Services, then reviewed the Fire Department's budget. Council then went through those items reaching consensus on each as noted in the budget document available in the City Clerk's Office. There being no further business to come before the City Council, Mayor Billig adjourned the meeting at 3:20 p.m. to Tuesday June 4, 1985, at 6:45 p.m. f City�.Clerk Pamela APPROVED BY COUNCIL: 6 -18 -85 l
