Monday, April 25, 1988 - 4:00 p.m.
The Council discussed general thoughts and direction of where the
committee was headed. They reviewed issues including their
responsibilities related to demolition, suggested that the committee hold
joint meetings with other committees and commissions where there may be a
over - lapping of responsibilities such as the Architectural Review
Commission. They also reviewed the need for the commission to have
schematic plans and a materials board when reviewing their proposal. The
need for a historical, cultural or architectural guideline booklet for the
public who are interested in restoring their homes (preferably a brief
checklist). This commission is also working on a booklet that could be
handed out, indicating where to find or how to do restoration of
historical buildings. Consensus that a better awareness program of
resources and criteria are used for the community.

plans and were open to suggestions by Council.
