Mayor Dunin opened it up for public comment.
Cal Poly Student stated that one -half of the student population will never
live on campus- -one year of living on campus is enough, and it's also a
"dry" campus. The community will have to absorb the overflow because
students prefer to live in single- family homes.
Georze Moylan, Housing Authority Director, stated that he's always
interested in housing of any kind and the need for elderly housing-is
great.
After brief discussion and upon general consensus, Council directed staff
to begin implementation of the 15 recommended neat steps as discussed and
modified tonight (Exhibit A). City Staff, ARC, Planning Commission and
other agencies to review with report back to Council on or before .January
1989.
