REVIEW OF RESOLUTION NO. 5882 AS AMENDED (File *113) Council reviewed its Council Policies and Procedures Resolution No. 5382 which included: a. Meeting times and ending meetings (IA3. I132) b. Placement of items on the agenda (IIA. B. C. D) c. Order of business - where to put public comment? (TIE) d. Ordinances (IIG) e. Communications (ITH) f. Questions to be stated - relocate or delete (IIIA3) g. Voting procedures - relocated (IIIE7. 8) 7:00 p.m., City Council adjourned for dinner. At 8:15 p.m., City Council reconvened, all Councilmembers present. The Council then continued its review of its policies and procedures: a. City Council correspondence b. City Council liaison to advisory committees c. Assessing.staff time d. Staff's role in media relations (April 11 memo from .rotor Dunn) e. "Too much paperwork" vs. "Need to know" (April 1 memo from Ron Dunin) f. Notification (April 20 memo from John Dunn) 9. Use of City letterhead h. Representing the City vs. speaking as an individual i. Noticing meetings of other agencies that a majority of the Council attends j. Council compensation committee k. Miscellaneous: Council seating: order of roll c,?.'.l: use of the Mayor's office Council reviewed and reached consensus on several changes to the Council's policies and procedures and agreed that it come bark to Council for adoption in August when the handbook was discussFd. 3. DRAFT REVISIONS TO THE ADVISORY BODY HANDBOOK (File x121) Due to the lateness of the hour, this item was continued to August, 1983. At 10:45 P.K. Mayor Dunin adjourned the meeting to closed session to discuss complaint -33 -103 issued by the California Regional ;later Control Board, against the City of San Luis Obispo. At 11:10 p.m., there being no further business to come before the City Council, Mayor Dunin adjourned the meeting t onday, June 6, 1983. at 4:00 p.m.. for closed session.
