4:30 p.m. City Council adjourned to Closed Session to discuss Personnel
Matters - City Attorney Recruitment.
5:10 p.m. City Council reconvened.
1. APPROPRIATION LIMIT (File No. 233)
The Council held a public hearing to consider the 1989 -91 Financial Plan.
Mayor Dunin declared the public hearing open.
James Merkel, member of the Sierra Club, spoke in support of providing
additional bicycle funding and requested the Council appoint a citizens
committee to review bicycle needs.
5:15 to 5:30 Council took a 15 minute break to enable the Council to
prioritize their Council Work Program.
Bill Statler, Finance Director, had the Work Program prioritization tabulated
and distributed. After discussion, consideration of the budget hearing was
continued to Monday, July 24, 1989 at 1:30 p.m.
6:00 p.m., Vice -Mayor Pinard left the meeting.
There being no further business to come before the Council, Mayor Dunin
adjourned'the meeting at 7:50 p.m.
