Recreation Director; and Ann Slate, Personnel Director

' INSTALLATION CEREMONY
1. RESOLUTION DECLARING ELECTION RESULTS (File No. 702 -01)
Council considered the results of the General Municipal Election held November 3, 1998.
ACTION: Moved by Williams/Roalman to adopt Resolution No. 8876 declaring the
results of the election; motion carried 5:0.
2. PRESENTATIONS TO OUTGOING COUNCIL MEMBERS BILL ROALMAN AND DODIE
WILLIAMS
Mayor Settle presented outgoing Council Members Bill Roalman and Dodie Williams with
gifts and proclamations in appreciation for their service to the City of San Luis Obispo.
Council Members Williams and Roalman provided individual parting comments and
expressed appreciation to colleagues, staff and the community.
3. OATHS OF OFFICE TO MAYOR -ELECT AND COUNCIL MEMBERS -ELECT (File No
301 -08)
ACTION: City Clerk Lee Price administered the Oaths of Office to Mayor Allen K.
Settle and new Council Members John Ewan and Jan Howell Marx; and presented to
each a Certificate of Election.
Council Members Marx and Ewan thanked family and supporters.

Mayor Settle adjourned the meeting at 7:26 p.m. to a reception for new and out -going
Council Members. 1
There being no further business to come before the City Council, Mayor Settle adjourned the
meeting at 7:26 p.m. to Tuesday, December 8, 1998 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council C,tragiber, 990
