TREE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
MONDAY, JULY 22, 2013
Corporation Yard Conference Room
25 Prado Road, San Luis Obispo
MEMBERS PRESENT: Matt Ritter, Scott Loosley, and Suzan Ehdaie
STAFF PRESENT: Anthony Whipple
PUBLIC COMMENT
There were no public comments.
MINUTES: Approval of Minutes of May 28, 2013
Ms. Ehdaie moved to approve the minutes as submitted.
Mr. Loosley seconded the motion.
The motion passed unanimously.
TREE REMOVAL APPLICATIONS
1. 175 Hathway (Eucalyptus)
There was no applicant or representative to speak to the item.
The Committee felt the trees could be removed per staff’s removal criteria.
2. 222 Chorro (Pine)
There was no applicant or representative to speak to the item.
NEW BUSINESS
Due to summer scheduling issues, the next regular meeting was slated for
Monday, August 19, 2013 at 5 p.m.

OLD BUSINESS
Mr. Whipple discussed the removals/replacements of the 24” box lemon-scented
eucalyptus at the Mission Plaza. The Committee agreed it was a good signature
tree for the area.
ARBORIST REPORT
Mr. Whipple discussed the neighborhood planting in the Upham area of two 24”
box camphor trees and reported that more would be planted in the near future.
He also noted that the June 22 wood chip give-away was very successful.
The meeting adjourned at 5:20 p.m. to next regular meeting, scheduled for 5 p.m.
on August 19, 2013. (special date)
