HomeMy WebLinkAbout1094Ordinance No. 1094 (1987 Series) Section 4. This ordinance will be automatically repealed and of no force and effect as of the effective date of Ordinance No. (1987 Series). Section 5. The City Clerk shall cause a summary of this Ordinance, approved by the City Attorney, to be published within five (5) days in a newspaper of general circulation, but delay in publication, or even failure to publish, shall not affect its validity. A copy of the full text of this ordinance shall be on file in the office of the City Clerk on and after the date following passage and shall be available to any interested member of the public. INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo at a meeting held on the 21st day of July 1987, on motion Of Councilman Griffin , seconded by Councilwoman Dovey and on the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Griffin, Dovey, Rappa and Mayor Dunin NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Settle MAYOR RON DUNIN ATTEST: CITY CL RK PAM VO 4 ORDINANCE NO. 1094 (1987 Series) AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows: Section 1. That an amendment to the Contract between the City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees' Retirement System is hereby authorized, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. Section 2. The Mayor of the City of San Luis Obispo is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf of the City. Section 3. The council declares that this ordinance is necessary as an emergency measure to meet the City's contractual obligations to the Police Officers' Association and finds the following reasons to exist for its urgency: 1. The Memorandum of Understanding with the Police Officers' Association provides for an amendment to the contract with the Public Employees' Retirement System to be put into effect July 1, 1987; and 2.
