AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 3200.5, 3200.6, and 3200.7
OF THE SAN LUIS OBISPO MUNICIPAL CODE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo:
SECTION 1. That Section 3200.5 of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code
shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 3200.5 ONE -HOUR PARKING
No operator of a vehicle shall leave such vehicle stand for a
greater length of time than one hour between the hours of 9:00
o'clock a.m. and 6:00 o'clock p.m. of any day, except Sundays
and Holidays, on any street or part of any street or parking
lot which may be defined or designated by Resolution of the Council
as ONE HOUR PARKING STREETS or LOTS, which streets or lots shall
be indicated by the erection and maintenance of a sign to that
effect on each block or lot to which such limit applies.
SECTION 2. That Section 3200.6 of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code
shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 3200.6 ONE and ONE -HALF HOURS PARKING
No operator of a vehicle shall leave such vehicle stand for a
greater length of time than one and. one -half hours between the hours
of 9 :00 o'clock a.m. and 6:00 o'clock p.m. of any day, except
Sundays and Holidays, on any street or part of any street or
parking lot which may be defined or designated by Resolution
of the Council as ONE AND ONE -HALF HOURS PARKING STREETS or
LOTS, which streets or lots shall be indicated by the erection
and maintenance of a sign to that effect on each block or lot to which
such limit applies.
SECTION 3. That Section 3200.7 of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code
shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 3200.7 TWO HOURS PARKING
No operator of a vehicle shall leave such vehicle stand for a
greater length of time than two hours between the hours of 9:00
o'clock a.m. and 6 :00 o'clock p.m. of any day, except Sundays and

Holidays, on any street.or part of any street or parking lot which
may be defined or designated by Resolution of the Council as TWO
HOUR PPMING STREETS or LOTS, which streets or lots shall be indi-
cated by erection and maintenance of a-sign to that effect on each
block or lot to which such limit applies.
SECTION 4. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be
published once in full, at least three days before its final passage, in the
Telegram - Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, and the
same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty days after its final
passage.

Action on the Proposed Amendment
WHEREAS: The Planning Commission of the City of San Luis Obispo,
California, has held two public hearings on the resolution of intention
to amend Section 9200.7 of the Municipal Code (Zoning Ordinance) of said
city so that Section 9200.71, hereon described, is added to Section 9200.7
This use is added: Detached Garages and Carports only, if constructed
simultaneously with or after the main building.

Such proposed amendment in accordance with Section 9200.19 of the Municipal
Code of the City of San Luis Obispo, California, and
WH,EAS: The Planning Commission feels that the public interest and
general welfare requires such an amendment, now therefore be it
RESOLVED: That said Planning Commission hereby recommends granting
the amendment as stated.
Regularly passed and adopted by the City Planning
Commission of the City of San Luis Obispo, California,
on the 17th day of November, 1955, by the following vote:
AYES: Commissioners: Couper, Knight, Ferris, Lenger, Read, Franklin.
NOES: Commissioners: None

Attached please find a copy of Resolution #3 -55 of the
Planning Commission, City of San Luis Obispo. The resolution
recommends favorable action on a proposed amendment to Section
9200.7 of the Municipal Code, so that Section 9200.71, described
in the resolution, is added. 4 A
The Planning Commission held two public hearings on this proposed
amendment, on October 20, 1955 and on November 17, 1955. There
were no protests.
In accordance with Section 9200.19 of the Municipal Code, the
Planning Commission herewith submits the resolution recommending
the proposed amendment for your consideration.
