AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SALE OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY WW7ED BY THE CITY OF SAN LUIS
OBISPO TO SOUTHERN PACIFI-C RAILROAD CONPANY..
BE IT ORDAINE& by the Council- of the City of San Luis Obispo,
as f ollows.s
SECTION-1. That the public convenience and necessity require
and it is for the common benefit that the real-. property hereinafter �
described, belonging to the City of San Luis Obispo, be sold to
Southern Pacific Railroad Company for the sum of One Thousand Dollara'.
SECTION 2. The.]Mayor and City Clerk of the City of San Luis,
Obispo are hereby authorized and directed,, fox and on behalf of said
City,.: to execute a deed conveying all the right,, title and interest
of said City in and to said real property, reserving, however., to the
City of San Luis Obispo the right.to use. and operate the water well
now on said real property, and to deliver such deed to Southern Pacific.
Railroad Company upon. receipt of the purchase price. The proceeds_
from such sale shall be deposited in the City Treasury to the credit
of the General Fund..
SECTION 3. Said real property is described as follows::
Beginning at a point on the Northwesterly line-of Buchan.
Street, said point being North. 490 45 t" East, 212..00 f.ee.t. from the
point of intersection of said Northwesterly Line of Buchon Street
with the Northeas=terly line. of Essex Street, as said streets-are
shown on pLlap of Central Addition to the City of San Luis. Obispo,
California, the property of the West Coast. Land Company., surveyed by
E. Y. Buchanan, C.E. June 1887, revised and resurveyed by George Story
C.E. Uay 1890" and recorded in Book A page. 54 of Maps, San Luis Obispo
County records; thence North 0.0 31f 45. "" Wes•t, 12.9..881 feet to a
point; thence North 6.0 34t 36" West 48.:0824 feet-to a point; thence
North 490 45_t East 601,079 feet. to a point. on the Southwesterly line
of the Southern Pacific Companyrs right of way (as acquired by deed
dated December 29, 1890, J. N. Knowles: to Southern Pacific Railroad
1 Company, and recorded February 26, 1891, in Deed Book %. page. 583,
San-Luis Obispo County records;.) thence in a Southerly direction along
said Southwesterly right of way line on a compound curve, concave

SECTION 4. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes
shall_ be published for two days, before its. final. passage in the Daily
Telegram, a daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in said
City.
