AN ORDINANCE AP7ENDING ORDINANCE-No. 45 ENTITLED, "AN
ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH FIRE PROOF BUILDING LIMITS AND
PRESCRIBING BUILDING REGUALTIONS -" APPROVED APRIL 17,1890,
AND REPEALING ORDINANCE No. 98 (New Series,) ENTITLED,
"AN ORDINANCE DEFINING AND ESTABLISHING A FIRE DISTRICT
WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN LUIS- OBISPO AND LIMITING THE
CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS WITHIN SAID DISTRICT ", ADOPTED
A2ARCH 24, 1924.
Be it ordained by the Council of the City of San Luis. Obispo as.
f olLows:
SECTION 1. Section 1, of Ordinance. No. 45, entitled, "An
Ordinance to Establish Fire. Proof Building Limits and Prescribing
Building Regulations. ", approved April 17, 1890, as amended, is
hereby amended to read as. follows:
Section 1. The following described portion of the City of San.
Luis Obispo is es- tablished and shall be known as "The Fire Proof
Building District ", and the rules and regulations hereinafter
contained shall apply to said district and to all buildings that may
hereafter be constructed within said district; and also to all
buildings. now in said district when specifically referred to, to— wit.:
Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Nipomo
Street with the. center line of Higuera Street; thence Southeasterly
along the center line. of Nipomo Street to a point in said line
equidistant from the center line of Marsh Street and_ the. center line
of Pacific Street; thence Northeasterly and parallel to the center
line of Marsh Street to a point in the, center line. of Santa Rosa
Street; thence:Northwesterly, along the center line. o€ Santa Rosa
Street to its intersection with the center line of Higuera Street;
thence. Northeasterly along the center line of Higuera Street to its
intersection with the Westerly line of Toro Street; thence North-
westerly along the Westerly line of Toro Street to a point in said
line 200 feet Southerly from the Southerly line of .Palm Street; thence=
Southwesterly and.parallel.to the - Northerly line of Monterey Street to
a point, staid, point being 107* feet Southwesterly from the Westerly
line.-of. Santa Rosa Street; thence N. 360 22' E. to the. Southerly line

of Lot 3, in Block 24 of the Original Subdivisions of said City; thence
Southwesterly along the Southerly lines of Lots: 3 and 2 in said Block
24, 170 feet more or less to the San Luis- Obispo County Court Hause
property line; thence Northwesterly along the Easterly line of said
Court House. property to the Southerly line of Palm Street; thence
Southwesterly along the Southerly line of Palm Street to the Westerly
line of Morro Street; thence Northwesterly along the Westerly line- of
Morro Street to a point in said line equidistant from the Southerly
line of Mill Street, and the Northerly line of Palm Street; thence
Southwesterly and parallel to the. Northerly line of Palm Street. to the
Westerly line: of Chorro. Street; thence. Southeasterly along said
Westerly line of Chorro Street to a point in said line equidistant
from the Northerly line of Monterey Street and the Southerly line of
Palm Street; thence. Southwesterly and parallel to the Northerly, line:
of Montere$- Street. to a point in Block. No. 9 of the Original Subdi4
is-ionsa of saAd City, said. point being the. inters-ection of the laat
mentioned course with the Northwesterly production of the-center line
of Broad Street; thence.Southeasterly along the said production and
the center line of -Broad Street to the center of San Luis: Obispo Creek;
thence Southwesterly down and along the cent-ex of said Creek- to the
center line- of Nopomo Street; thence. Southeasterly along the center
line. of Nipomo Street to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 98 (New Series) entitled, "An Ordinance
Defining and Establishing a Fire - District Within the City of San Luis.
Obispo and Limiting the Construction of Buildings Within said District"
finally adopted.barch 2.4, 1924, is. hereby repeated.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
with this. ordinance are. hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance, together with the Ayes and Noes shall
be published for two days- before its final passage in the Daily
Telegram, a daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in the.
City of San Luis: Obispo.
