(IMW 3ERL:3 ) RY ADDING T1PRET0 THREE I'MW SECTIONS TO BE NUT]BERED SECTIOY 3.1, SECTION 4..1 AND SECTION 4..2. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo, as follows; Section l.. Ordinance No. 122 (.Neer Series) of the City of San Luis Obispo, entitled, uAn Ordinance Regulating Traffic Upon, and the Parking of Vehicles On the Public Streets of the City of San Luis Obispo ", is hereby amended by adding thereto three new sections to be numbered Section 3.1, Section 4.1 and Section 4..2,. and which said sections shall read as follows-: SECTION 3.1. PEDESTRIAN'S RIGHT OF 1AY. (a) The driver of any vehicle shall yield the right of way to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within any marked crosswalk or within any unmarked cross- walk at the end of a block, except as otherwise provided in sub- division (d) of this section. (b) �hienever any vehicle has stopped at a marked crossw4 k or at any intersection to permit a pedestrian to cross the roadway, it shall be unlawful for the driver of any other vehicle a,�proa,ching from the rear to overtake and pass such stopped vehicle. (c) Every pedestrian crossing a roadway at any point other than within a. marked or unmarked crosswalk shall yield the right of way to vehicles upon the roadway, provided that this provision shall not relieve the driver of a vehicle or the pedestrian from the duty to exercise due care. (d) At intersections where traffic is controlled by traffic control signals, or by police officers, pedestrians shall not cross the roadway against a red or stop signal, and between adjacent intersections so controlled shall riot cross at any place, except in a marked or unmarked crosswalk. 1.. (e) For the purposes of this section, a crosswalk shall mean that portion of a, roadway ordinarily included within the prolongation or connection of curb lines and property lines at intersections, or any other portion of a roadway clearly indicated for pedestrian crossing by lines or other markings on the surface.. SECTION-4.1. EARLY IMRITING PARKING LITi ITED.. UI'IJi�VYUL TO PARK DISX,: 2D VEHICLES.- It small be unL- wful for the owner of any vehicle which has been disabled or which has been permanently or temporarily placed out of service, to allow such vehicle to be or remain on any street for a period of time longer than is reasonably necessary to repair such vehicle or to place the same in serviceable condition.. dhere any such vehicle is allowed to remain on any street. for a period of time longer than is reasonably necessary to repair such vehicle or place the saLle in serviceable condition, it shall be lawful. for the Chief of Police. to cause such vehicle to be removed and placed in storage after serving notice on the owner of, or person in control of said vehicle. Said notice. shall be served at least twenty- -four (24) hours before causing such removal and may be served by delivering a written notice to such owner or person in control of such vehicle or by attaching such written notice to such vehicle. Such notice shall specify the time after which such vehicle will be rerioved and the place where the sarue will be stored. All necessary costs incurred in the removal .and storage of such vehicle shall be paid by the owner thereof and shall be a lien against such vehicle. Section. 2. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published for two days before its final passage, in the "Da.ily Telegramti', a, daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City. 2.
