CREATING THE OFFICE OF DEPUTY STPIXT SUPERINTENDENT, AND FIXING THE
AMOUNT OF HIS BOND.
Be it ordained by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
Section 1. There is hereby created the office of Deputy Street Super-
intendent. He shall receive such monthly compensation as shall by
resolution be fixed by the Council,. He shall be appointed by the
Council, and shall hold office at its pleasure.
Section 2. He shall perform such duties relating to the office of
Street Superintendent as may be assigned to him by said official. Dur-
ing the absence or temporary disability of the Street Superintendent
he shall perform any and all duties required by law to be performed by
the Street Superintendent.
Section 3. Before entering upon the discharge of his duties he shall
execute to the City an official bond in the penal sum of Q 0
which bond shall contain the conditions required to be contained in
official bonds by Section 13 of the Charter of the City of San Luis
Obispo. Such bond shall be approved by the Mayor and filed with the
City Clerk.
Section 4. This ordinance is hereby declared to be urgent and immed-
iately necessary to preserve the public peace, health and safety, and
shall take effect from and after its final passage.
Section 5. This ordnance together with the ayes and noes shall be
Published for two days before its final passage in the Morning Tribune,
a daily newspaper, printed published and circulated in the City of San
Luis Obispo.
