ORDINANCE NO. 337 (1966 Series)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 331
(1965 Series) REGARDING 'TEMPORARY RESTRICTION
ON INSTALLATION OF SIGNS
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance 331 (1965 Series) shall be and is hereby
amended to read as follows:
SECTION 1. That the following restrictions shall temporarily super-
cede all conflicting provisions in the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code:
A. No free standing or attached sign exceeding 100 square feet
in area shall be permitted unless prior approval is obtained from the Council.
B. No roof signs shall be permitted in any R or C -1 District
unless prior approval is obtained from the Council.
C. No billboards shall be permitted in C-1 or C-2 Districts,
D. No billboards shall be permitted in C -3 or M Districts
unless prior approval is obtained from the Council.
SECTION 2. That the above restrictions shall be in effect for one year from
December 20, 1965 unless sooner terminated by amendments to the existing Sign Ordinance.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published
once, at least three days before its final passage, in the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper
published and circulated in said City, and the same shall go into effect upon its final
passage.
