HomeMy WebLinkAbout0366N�r ORDINANCE NO. 366 (N&,V SERIES) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED 'TERRITORY DESIGNATED A.'S "THE OLGIATI ADDITION" TO THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, AND DECLARING THIS ORDINANCE TO BE AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, as follows: SECTION I. That having complied with the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as amended, of the State of California, the hereinafter described parcel of real prop- erty designated as "THE OLGIATI ADDITION" being uninhabited property and contiguous to the City of San Luis Obispo, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, be and the same is hereby annexed to the said City of San Luis Obispo, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emer- gency measure necessary for the preservation of the public health and safety, and shall take effect and be in force from and after its final passage and adoption. The following is a specified statement showing the urgency of this ordinance: That the Federal Housing Administration has made a housing allocation for 142 housing units on the territory proposed to be annexed; that said allocation has certain date limits, after which it may be withdrawn., in which event said housing project would have to be abandoned; that there is an urgent need for said 142 housing units in the City of San Luis Obispo due to the tremendous demand for housing brought about by the reactivation of Camp San Luis Obispo. SECTION III. This ordinance, together with the Ayes and Noes, shall be published for two days before its final passage in the Telegram- Tribune, a daily newspaper printed, published and circu- lated in said City.
