HomeMy WebLinkAbout0414NI 'r ORDINANCE NO. 414 (NEW SERIES) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO ADOPTING A 130,r9P1u,HENSIVE ORDINANCE CODE TO BE KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS THE „SAN LUIS OBISPO MIUNICIPAL CODE" AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLECT IffITH SAID CODE, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATION. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo, as followrs: SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of the Charter of the City of San Luis Obispo and of Sections 36970 and 36971 of the Government Code of the State of California, the, City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo does hereby adopt as a comprehensive ordinance code that certain document or code entitled "San Luis Obispo dlunicipal Code,' three ( 3 ) copies of which have been filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of San Luis Obispo on the 6th day of June, 1955, for examination by the public. SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with said code are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. It is,hereby ordained that said San Luis Obispo Code be adopted by reference and that said code need not be published. SECTION 4. No person shall violate any provision, or fail to comply with any of the requirements of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code. Any persons violating any of the provisions or failing to com- ply with any of the mandatory requirements of said code, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Any person convicted of a misdemeanor under the provisions of said code, shall be punishable by a fine of not more than Three Hundred Dollars, or by imprisonment in the City or County Jail for a period not exceeding three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person shall be guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of which any vio- lation of any provision of said code is committed, continued, or per- mitted by such person and shall be "punishable accordingly. -1- In addition to the penalties hereinabove provided, any con- dition caused or permitted to exist in violation of any of the pro- visions of said code shall be deemed a public nuisance and may be, by this City, summarily abated as such, and each day such condition continues shall be regarded as a new and separate offense. SECTION 5. This ordinance, together with the Ayes and Noes, shall be published once in full at least three days before its final passage, in the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty days after its final passage.
