ORDINANCE NO. 439 (1969 Series)
AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF
CALIFORNIA BLVD. BETWEEN HIGHWAY 101 AND PHILLIPS LANE,
628 CALIFORNIA BLVD., FROM R -1 TO R -O -S DISTRICT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. That certain parcel of real property in the City of San Luis
Obispo located at 628 California Blvd., more particularly described as follows:
A parcel of land being in a portion of the SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of
Section 26, T30S, R12E, MDM, in the City of San Luis Obispo and being
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the most Westerly corner of Lot "L" in Phillips Addition
to the City of San Luis Obispo and running North 66° 41' 40" West,
229.65 feet along the Northerly right -of -way line of California Blvd.
to its intersection with the Easterly right -of -way line of California
Freeway No. 101 "on" and 'off" ramp; thence running North 0° 21' 30"
East, 416,.32 feet along said right -of -way line to its intersection
with the Southerly line of Block 1 of Phillips Syndicate Addition to
the City of San Luis Obispo; thence running Easterly along said
Southerly line 220 ft., more or less, to a point; thence South 180
261 West, 310 feet, more or less, thence Easterly to a point in the
Westerly line of said Lot "L" which is 145 feet from the point of
beginning; thence Southerly along said line 145 feet, more or less,
to the point of beginning.
shall be and is hereby rezoned from R -1 (Residential Low Density) to R -O -S
(Residential Office - Combining) District. Said property is also shown on the
map attached hereto marked Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be
published once in full, at least three days prior to its final passage, in the
Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, and the same
shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty days after its said final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo
at a Regular Meeting held thereof on the 6th day of January, 1969, on motion of
Councilman Blake, seconded by Councilman Spring, on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Emmons Blake, Frank Gallagher, Arthur F. Spring, Donald Q. Miller,
Clell W. Whelchel.
NOE: None.
ABSENT: None.

PUBLIC HEARING
REZONING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the City Council of the City of San
Luis Obispo will hold a public hearing on the recommendation of the
Planning Commission to rezone from R -1 to R -O -S that property located
at 620 California Boulevard adjacent to U.S. 101 Freeway offramp. See
sketch marked exhibit "A ".
SAID PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE held on Monday, January 6, 1968 at
8:45 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 990 Palm Street,
San Luis Obispo, California.
