ORDINANCE NO. 443 (1969 Series)
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A MAXINIUVI GROSS
WEIGHT LIMIT ON ROYAL WAY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3212.5 is hereby added to the San Luis Obispo h unicipal
Code to read as follows:
3212.5 MAXIMUM GROSS WEIGHT LIMITS OF VEHICLES ON CERTAIN
STREETS. No commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight
limit of 6, 000 pounds shall use the following streets, except those
vehicles which are subject to the provisions of Sections 1031 to 1036
inclusive, of the Public Utilities Code of the State of California:
(a) Royal Way
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 3 hereof, this
ordinance shall not be effective until appropriate signs are erected indicating the
street affected and the weight limits imposed by this ordinance.
SECTION 3. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published
once in full, at least three (3) days before its final passage in the Telegram- Tribune,
a newspaper published and circulated in said City, and the same shall go into effect
at the expiration of thirty days after said final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo at a Regular Meeting held thereof on the 20th day of January, 1969, on motion
of Councilman Gallagher, seconded by Councilman Miller, and on the following roll
call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Blake, Gallagher, Miller, Spring and Mayor Whelchel
NOES: None
