HomeMy WebLinkAbout0448ORDINANCE NO. 448 (1969 Series) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE VIII, CHAPTER 41 UNDERGROUND UTILITIES (ORDINANCE NO. 306 - 1965 SERIES) OF THE SAN LUIS OBISPO MUNICIPAL CODE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows: SECTION 1, That Subsection (a) of Section 8400.1, of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code be deleted in its entirety. Substitute the following therefore: (a) The words "Underground Service Area" shall mean that area within the limits of the City of San Luis Obispo, identified by the following Use Zone designations, further defined in Section 9200.2 of the San Luis Obispo City Zoning Ordinance: R -C, C -N (C -1), C -2 & C -H (C -3) SECTION 2. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published once in full, at least three days before its final passage, in the Telegram - Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty (30) days after its said final passage. PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE UNDERGROUND UTILITIES ORDINANCE The proposed amendment to the Underground Utilities Ordinance, submitted for your consideration, will broaden the scope of the existing Ordinance to encompass all commercial districts. This will require all new construction and major remodels in these districts to be serviced by underground utilities. (Electric, Communications, Sound & T.V.) It will not affect the established Underground Districts, nor will it prevent creating additional districts.
