AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS
TO REQUIRE COMPLETION OF IMM OVEMENTS PRIOR TO
ACCEPTANCE OF THE FINAL MAP.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
Subparagraph 10 of Section 9100.8 of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code is
deleted in its entirety.
Section 9100.8.4 is hereby added to the wan Luis Obispo Municipal Code to read
as follows:
Section 9100.8.4 Improvements
After approval by the Planning Commission of the tentative map of any subdivision,
the subdivider shall furnish the following information to the City Engineer and shall receive
authorization to proceed in accordance with said plans from the City Engineer and, where
necessary, from the City Council prior to installation of such improvements.
a. A grading plan consisting of typical cross sections and final finished grades of
all lots, roads, streets and highways in the proposed new subdivision, together with a profile
showing the relationship between finish grades and existing center line grades.
b. Complete plans and specifications, including elevations and grades of all
utilities, streets, for any pipe culverts, drainage ways or structures necessary for
drainage, erosion or public safety.
c. Any other pertinent information required by the conditional approval of the
Planning Commission or by the City Council, and City Engineer.
Prior to the submission of the final map all of said improvements must be corn -
pleted to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. If necessary to reflect the exact location of
improvements in place, the dedications of easements shown on the final map which do not
correctly reflect the site of public improvements as installed will be rejected and the
subdivider will be required to file at his expense an amended final map accuretely
describing the concerned easement.
Delete from Section 9100.9 subparagraph 4 (c) on Page 151-e of the San Luis
Obispo Municipal Code in its entirety. Renumber subparagraph 4 (d) of Section 9100.9 to
4 (c) of said section.
Section 9100.9 of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code subparagraph 5 (d) is
amended to read as follows:
d. Approval by City Council
Upon presentation of the above material by the City Clerk, as aforesaid, the City
Council shall consider said map, the plan of subdivision, the report of the City Engineer
regarding completion of the required improvements and the offers of dedication.

The City Council may reject any or all offers of dedication. In case the City Council
shall determine that said map is not in conformity with the requirements of this ordinance
or the provisions of the applicable ordinance in effect on the date of the approval of the
tentative map of the subdivision, it shall disapprove said map, specifying reasons therefor
and advising the subdivider in writing of such disapproval. After the City Council shall
determine that said final map is in conformity to the requirements of this ordinance and
that all required improvements have been completed it shall approve said map by resolution.

Obispo at a Regular Meeting held thereof on the 21st day of April, 1969, on motion of
Councilman Gallagher, seconded by Councilman iVIiller, and on the following roll call vote:
