NEW SERIES. 2 AN ORDINANCE making certain regulations, relative to 3 the Furnishing of electricity to -the City of San Luis Obispo and 4 to its inhabitants, and prescribing the quality and character of 5 such service. 7 BE IT ORDAI[TED, by the Council of the City of " >an Luis 8 Obispo, as follows: 9 Section I. All electricity furnished to the Cit7 10 of San Luis Obispo or to its inhabitants, shall be furnished at 11 a uniform voltage, for each class of service. 12 Section II. The maximum demand of any user of 13 electricity within said City shall be determined by the person, 14 firm or corporation furnishing such electricity and the gas in- z 15 spector of said City; for this u �ose�a�Jl ec ds, the plant or F a� 16 machinery, or other property used in connection with such service as belonging to or controlled by the person, _firm or corporation so 7 17 ; �b 18 furnishing electricity shall be ol,en to the inspection of said gas c� m 19 inspector or of any other person hereafter designated by said 20 Council. 21 In case of a disagreement betteen said gas inspector and, 22 said person, firm or corporation, such maximum demand shall be fixed 23 by the Council of said City of San Luis Obispo. 24 SectionlII. No person, firm or corporation, furnishing 25 electricity to said City or the inhabitants thereof, shall discon -- 26 tinue the service to any user of electricity, when service has 27 once been established, by the reason of tae failure of such user 28 to pay any claim of said person, firm or corporation, so furnishing. 29 electricity, or by reason of the violation by said user, his agents 30 or tenants, of any rule or regulation of said person, firm or cor- 31 poration so furnishing electricity, without having first obtained 32 the consent of tl:ie Council of said City or of said user to so dis- continue such service. 0 2 3 4 5 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 z 15 aU 0 16 17 Al o 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28. 29 30 31 32 Section IV*, A violation of any of the provisions of this Ordinance s1mll be punishable 'by a fine, not, exceeding 300.00 or imprisonment in the City Jail not exceed.ing'ilinety days or by both such fine and imprisonment. Section V. It shall -be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation supplying electricity to Paid City, or any Inhabit- ants thereof to receive or collect more than eighty (60 0) per cent of the rate now fixed by Ordinance'or of any rate hereafter fixed for electricity furnished during any inonth'where service has been discontinued during such ixiorith for the -period, of hours, Section VI. This Ordinance shall not be construed to re- peal Ordinance N0.36 ( New Series ) except insofar as the terms of said Ordinance No. 38 (New Series ) are inconsistent vii th the terms of this Ordinance.
