HomeMy WebLinkAbout0664ORDINANCE NO. 664 ('1976 Series) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO ADDING SECTIONS TO ARTICLE III.V, CHAPTER 10 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE PROHIBITING PARKING OF CERTAIN VEHICLES NEAR INTERSECTIONS AND PRO- HIBITING NIGHTTIME PARKING NEAR DWELLINGS OF CERTAIN LARGE VEHICLES AND CERTAIN VEHICLES OPERATING AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows: SECTION 1. The Municipal Code is amended by adding Section 3209.14 as follows: Section 3209.14. Parking of Large or Commercial Vehicles Near Intersections. No person shall park any vehicle, other than a passenger vehicle less than 80 inches in width, or any trailer, camper or boat within 50 feet of any intersection. SECTION 2. The.Municipal Code is amended by adding Section 3209.15 as follows: Section 3209.15. Nighttime Parking of Large Vehicles. Between the hours of 10:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M., it shall be unlawful to park or leave standing upon any public right- of-way within 200 feet of any dwelling any vehicle exceeding (1) 20 feet in.length or (2) 6,000 pounds unladen weight, except trailer coaches, house cars, campers or motorhomes. SECTION 3. The Municipal Code is amended by adding Section 3209.1.6 as follows: Section 3209.16. Nighttime Parking of Vehicles with Operating Air Conditioning or Refrigeration Units. Between the hours of 10:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M., no person shall park or leave standing on any street or public right -of- way,any vehicle, except a passenger vehicle, with an operating • M Ordinance No. 6 2 ,1976 Series) refrigeration or other unit to cool, heat, humidify, or otherwise air - condition the cargo area, except for locations at least 200 feet distant.from the nearest dwelling. SECTION 3. This.Ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published once in full, at least three days prior to its final passage, in the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said City', and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty days after its said final passage.
