AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO
AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH SPEED
LIMITS ON FOOTHILL BOULEVARD, HATHWAY AVENUE,
PISMO STREET AND SOUTH STREET.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the 'City of San Luis
Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3215 of the San Luis Obispo Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 3215. Modifying the State Speed Limit on Certain Streets

It is hereby determined upon the basis of an engineering
and traffic investigation that the speed otherwise permitted by
State law upon the following streets does not fall within rea-
sonable or safe limits under the conditions found to exist upon
such streets, and it is hereby set forth on those streets or
parts of streets herein designated when signs are erected giving
notice thereof:

SECTION 2. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and
noes, shall be published once in full, at least three days
before its final passage in the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper
published and circulated.in said City, and the same shall go
into effect at the expiration of thirty days after said final
passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City
of San Luis. Obispo at a Regular Meeting thereof held on the
3rd day of May, 1976, on motion of Mayor Schwartz, seconded by
Councilman Petterson, and on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Graham, Norris, Petterson, Mayor Schwartz
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Gurnee
