AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE CARRYING OR DISCHARGE OF RAIN
MATER BY EEANS OF CONDUITS, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE
VIOLATION :'HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo, as follows:-
Section 1. No rain water leader drain, pipe or conduit
shall be so erected, placed or maintained as to convey, carry
or discharge any water on or to'any sidewalk in the City of San
Luis Obispo, but all leaders, drains, pipes and conduits convey-
ing, carrying or discharging water to or beyond the exterior
boundary of the lot or premises,on Which the same is erected,
placed or maintained, must be led under the sidewalk to the
gutter.
Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm
or corporation to erec

the control of such person, firm or corporation.
Section 3. Any person who shall violate any of the pro-
visions of this Ordinance is guilty of a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not ex-
ceeding three hundred dollars or by imprisonment not excee4-
ing thirty days, or by such fine and imprisonment.

Section 4. This Ordinance, together with the Ayes and.
Noes shall be published for two days in the Morning Tribune,
a daily newspaper printed, published ana circulated in Baia
City of San Luis Obispo, and shall tame effect and be in
force thirty days from and after its final //passage.
