BE 1T ORDAIM by the Council of the City of Saga Luis Obispo as foll(n, ;s:
SECTION 1. That Section 9200.17 (g) (1) of the San We Obispo Ymnicipal
Code shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 9203.17 (g) (1). Board of Adjustments
There is hereby created a Board of Adjustments, which shall be composed of
the Planning, Director, City Engineer and Building Inspector. Said'Board of Adjust-
ments shall have all the powers and duties prescribed below, provided that it. may
refer.any applicantion to the Planning Commission for action.
a. Approval of any application properly before the Board of Adjustments
shall require a - unanimous vote.
b. Public hearings sh411 be held on Friday of each week at 1:00 P. M.-
in the City Council Chambers.
c. Public hearings shall be held by the Board of Adjustments on ratters
properly before them after posting the property three days prior-to such
heer.ing.
SECTION 2. That Section 9200.17 (g)(2) shall be and is hereby amended to
read as follows:
The Board of Adjustments may grant use permits for the following if its find-
ings shall be as provided in this.section, paragraph (e) 1.
a. Signs not attached to the main building and appurtenant to any permitted
rase, and other outdoor advertising signs where permission by use permit: is
authorized under the provisions of this Chapter.
b. Group Dwellings.
c. Second &2,alling on.lot with an existing residence or. the rear of said loto
d. Home occupations.
e. Service Stratione in C -1 and C -2 zones.
f. Professional services.
SEC:"IO3 3. That a public hearing and consideration of final psseage shall
be held on August 3, 1959 at 8:00 P. M. in the Council -CBembere of the City Hall,
99-0 Palm Sheet, San Lams Obispo, California.
SECTION 4. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be
published once: in full, at least three days before its final passage, in the Telagr m
Tribmie, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, aid the same shall go
into effect at the expiration of thirty days afters its final passage.

RESOLUTION NO. 90 -59
Recommending favorable action
on the proposed amendment
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of San Luis Obispo, California,
has held two public hearings on the application of the City Planning
Commission Resolution of Intention to amend Ordinance 59 (1957 series)
and adding to Section 9200.17 (g) of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code
as follows: (See attached copy) and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission feels that the public interest and general
welfare requires such an amendment, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that said Planning Commission hereby recommends granting the
amendment as applied for.

Amendmeht to Ordinance #59 (1957 Series)
Referring to Section 9200.17 (g) the following are proposed amendments:
1. Board of Adjustments
(b) Public hearings shall be held on Friday of each week at
1:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers.
(c) Public hearings shall be held by the Board of Adjustments
on matters properly before -them after posting the property
days prior to:such hearings.
2. Use Permits
(b) Group Dwellings.
(c) Second dwelling on lot with an existing residence on the
rear of said lot.
(d) Home occupations.
(e) Service Stations in C -1 and C -2 zones.
