HomeMy WebLinkAbout0126u owner mCE No. (1959 Series) API ORDINUCE AMMING SECTION 9100.4 and 92030.16 OF THE SAN LUIS OBISPO M UCIPAL CODE. BE IT ORDAIIM by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follotse: SECTION 1. That Section 9100.4 of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code shall be mended by adding subsection (t) to read as follows: Cooperative Apartments. The Planning Commission may recommend the granting of exceptions to this Chapter in areas zoned multiple family under the provisions of the zoning ordinance, if all of the following provisUms are complied with: I. Lot sixes may be reduced to dissension no smaller then 25 feet in width and 50 feet in length. 2., Open spaces common to the total development shall be provided so that a minimum of 50% of the total land area shall remain open and .uncovered by any structure except o swinwing pool. 3. Total density Shall not exceed one (1) family unit for each 2700 square feet of land area. 4. Access to such development shall be subject to approval of the City Engineer. 5. All on site improvements shall sleet the Standard Improvement Specifications of the City of San Luis Obispo. 6. The over -all development shall comply with the setbacks of the more in which developed. SECTION 2. That Section 9200.1+6 (1) of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code shall be and is hereby amended by adding subsection (i) to read as follows: W Special Planned Development., The Planning Commiesion may consider applications for planned development in R•3 'and R -4 districts only, even when such developments do not meet the terms of this Ordinance, for minimum building site areas, yards required and frontage on public street providing the following conditions are complied with: 1. That a tentative and find sasap is approved by the Planning Commission and City council. 2. That total development plans be filed with the Planning Commission. 3. That a use permit shall first be secured before the ectaablishment of any such development. 4. That minimum development shall be: (a) Lot size 25 feet by 50 feet. (b) Open land areas 56% of total development open and uncovered with any structures except a swimming pool. (c) Total denoity shall not exceed one family unit for each 2,700 square feet of land wren. (d) No living unit shall have less than 700 square feet of living area. (e) One garage and one'-half off-street parking apace per unit. 12 5. Architectural appearance and site planning shall be approved by the Planning Commission. 6. No such development shall be approved unless the Planning Commission finds that such development will be beneficial to the general welfare of the City and riot detrimental to surrounding development. SECTIOU 3. That a public hearing and consideration of final passage shall be held on August 3, 3959, at 8:00 P,.M. in the Council Chwbers of the City Hall, 490 Palm Street, San lais Obispo, California. SECTXON 4. This ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published once in full, at least three days before its final passage, in the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty days after its final, passage.
