ORDINANCE NO. 698 (1977 Series)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO
ADDING SECTION 1255 TO ARTICLE I, CHAPTER
2.5 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, ENTITLED, "CODE
ENFORCEMENT."
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1255, Code Enforcement, is hereby
added to Article I, Chapter 2.5 of the Municipal Code to read
as follows:
SECTION 1255. Code Enforcement.
The City Administrative Officer is empowered to designate
public officers or employees of the City to exercise the powers
authorized by Section 836.5(a) of the California Penal Code,
including the issuance of citations for violation of the pro-
visions of the Municipal Code pursuant to Sections 853.5 and
853.6 of the California Penal Code. The zoning Enforcement
Officer and the Chief Building Official shall be two of those
employees so authorized.
- SECTION 2. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and
noes, shall be published once in full, at least three days
before its final passage, in the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper
published and circulated in said City, and the same shall go
into effect thirty (30) days after its said final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT at a Regular Meeting of
the City Council on the 15th day of March 1977, on
motion of Councilman Petterson , seconded by Councilman
Graham , and on the following roll call vote:
