ORDINANCE NO. 708 (1977 Series)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONE MAP (TO REZONE
PROPERTY AT 1174, 1178 & 1194 PACIFIC STREET).
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. That the following described portion of the City of San Luis Obispo
as shown on the Official Zone Map of the City of San Luis Obispo be reclassified as
follows: Said property is also shown on the map attached hereto marked Exhibit "A"
and incorporated herein by reference.
From District R -3 (Residential Medium -High Density) to R -O (P -0) (R 0611)
Residential Office ( Professional - Office /Residential), real property described as:
That certain parcel of land situated in the City of San Luis Obispo, county
of San Luis Obispo, state of California, according to the map recorded May 1,
1878 in book A at page 168 of Maps in the office of the county recorder of
said county, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Westerly line of Toro Street, as sai<:d..- : >jtreet
existed February 14, 1872, which said point bears South 40 1120 East 883 feet
from the Southwesterly corner of Toro and Monterey Streets, as said streets
existed February 14, 1872; thence North 40 1/2° West along the Westerly line
of Toro Street, as said street existed February 14, 1872, a distance of 130
feet to the center of San Luis Obispo Creek; thence following the center of
said creek Southwesterly to a point that is distant 400 feet Easterly at right
angles from the Easterly line of Santa Rosa Street, as said street existed
April 22, 1898; thence Southerly and parallel with the Easterly line of said
Santa Rosa Street and distant 400 feet therefrom to a point which would be on
the Northerly line of Pacific Street., if projected, as said. Pacific Street
was laid out between Blocks 109 and 110 on April 22, 1898 thence Easterly along
said line of Pacific Street, if projected, 150 feetmore or less to the point of
beginning.
EXCEPT that portion, if any, lying within the boundaries of the land described
in the deed to Hipolite Dallidet, recorded March 22, 1872 in book C at page 751
of Deeds.
That portion of Block 200 of the City of San Luis Obispo, in the City of San
Luis Obispo, county of San Luis Obispo, state of California, according to map
recorded in the office of the county recorder of said county, described as
follows:
Beginning at a point in the northerly line of Pacific Street in said City,
distant thereon 345 feet.easterly from the easterly line of Santa Rosa Street,
and running thence easterly along said northerly line of Pacific Street, 55
feet; thence at right angles northerly parallel with the easterly line of
Santa Rosa Street to the center line of San Luis Obispo Creek; thence westerly
along the center line of said creek to a point 345 feet easterly from the easterly
line of Santa Rosa Street; thence southerly parallel with the easterly line of
Santa Rosa Street to the northerly line of Pacific Street and the point of beginning.

A parcel of land in the City of San Luis Obispo, the County of San Luis Obispo,
State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the northerly line of Pacific Street three hundred (300)
feet easterly from the northeast corner of Pacific Street and Santa Rosa Street,
as said streets now exist; thence easterly along the northerly line of Pacific
Street forty -five (45) feet to the westerly line of the land described in the
agreement to convey to William A. Barber and wife, recorded in Book 18, Page
137 of official records; thence northerly along said westerly line to the center
of San Luis Obispo Creek, as now established; thence westerly along said center
line of said creek to a point in the easterly line of the land described in the
deed to M. B. Tiexiera and wife, recorded in Book 25, Page 245 of official records,
and being distant three hundred (300) feet easterly from the easterly line of
Santa Rosa Street; thence southerly along the easterly line of said land to the
point of beginning.
General location:
1174, 1178 & 1194 Pacific Street
SECTION 2. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be published
once in full, at least three days prior to its final passage, in the Telegram- Tribune,
a newspaper published and circulated in said City, and the same shall go into effect
at the expiration of thirty days after its said final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo at
a Regular Meeting thereof held on the 5th day of July, 1977 on motion of
Councilman Dunin, seconded by Councilman Petterson, and on the following roll
call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Dunin, Petterson, Jorgensen and Mayor Schwartz
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Gurnee
