ORDINANCE NO. 712 (1977 Series)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO AMENDING
THE OFFICIAL ZONE MAP OF THE CITY (TO REZONE PROPERTY
IN THE LAGUNA NEIGHBORHOOD) .
WHEREAS, the boundaries of that certain area known for planning and
zoning purposes as�the "Laguna Neighborhood of San Luis Obispo" and the
present zoning of the property within that neighborhood are shown on the
map attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommends that the properties within
said Laguna Neighborhood be rezoned; and
WHEREAS, the map attached hereto marked Exhibit "B" and incorporated
herein by reference shows the proposed amending zoning designations for
properties within the Laguna Neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, said rezoning has been processed in accordance with the

provisions of Sections 65800 et seq. of the Government Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. The Official Zone Map of the City of San Luis Obispo is
amended to reclassify the properties in the Laguna Neighborhood as shown on
the attached Exhibit "B ".
SECTION 2. Said Exhibit "B" is adopted as a part of the official zone
map of the City.
SECTION 3. For reference purposes the Laguna Neighborhood is more
specifically described as follows:
The Southwest portion of the City, West of Highway 101 between
the Marsh Street Freeway Interchange on the North and Froom Creek
on the South. '.The Eastern edge of the area, beginning at the
Marsh Street Freeway Interchange, follows the freeway to San Luis
Creek, turns East to the foot of Brook Street, crosses Higuera
Street just North of the Madonna Road intersection to include a

small area on the East side of Higuera Street, then follows
Elks Lane and the East side of the freeway to Froom Creek,
where it turns West to the City limits. Otherwise the area
boundary follows the City limits.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance, together with the ayes and noes, shall be
published once in full, at least three (3) days prior to its final passage,
in the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in said City,
and the same shall go into effect at the expiration of thirty (30) days after
its said final passage.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED TO PRINT by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo at a meeting thereof held on the 26th day of July , 1977, on
motion of Councilman Gurnee , seconded by Councilman Dunin , and
on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Gurnee, Dunin, Petterson, Jorgensen and Mayor Schwartz
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
